Future-Ready Workforce Masterclass training

The programme brought together 30 officers from different departments and directorates for an intensive, hands-on learning experience designed to strengthen their readiness for the future of work.
The training combined six practical modules covering artificial intelligence, automation, data analytics, teamwork, persuasion, emotional intelligence and personal financial planning. Participants worked directly with realistic workplace scenarios, including the review of facility agreements, financial statements, litigation documents and board papers using AI, while learning the importance of professional verification, confidentiality and responsible technology use. They also progressed from having little or no experience with Microsoft Power BI to building and presenting working dashboards that supported management decisions.

Automation opportunities and the future use of AI agents
Data cleaning, modelling, analysis and visualisation using Microsoft Power BI
Team formation, collaboration and leadership using the Belbin team-role framework
Emotional intelligence, negotiation and managing difficult conversations
Executive communication, persuasion and presentation under pressure
Personal financial planning and long-term financial confidence
Applying technology, data and judgement to improve operational efficiency
The programme concluded with a structured consulting challenge in which participants worked in four teams to analyse an unfamiliar dataset, build Power BI dashboards, assess a complex client scenario and defend their recommendations before a panel. By the end of the week, the officers had demonstrated stronger capabilities in AI, data analysis, teamwork, communication and decision-making, while also developing practical commitments for applying these skills within AMCON.
